Matthias has left.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Matthias Lerbinger on December 23 in Munich. Matthias had defended his thesis at the end of 2020. He had been working for @Infineon
for several months.

His thesis work focused on the study of local rearrangements in model glasses, he had studied the links between the micromechanics of glasses and the relaxation processes in a supercooled liquid.

During the almost 4 years he spent at PMMH, from his M2 internship to the end of his thesis, Matthias was a pillar of the laboratory. He was enthusiastic and joyful, collective and generous, passionate about physics, perfectionist and curious…

We are deeply saddened. We are thinking of his friends, his family. Matthias, we will miss you so much.
